Job summary

Assystem in the United Kingdom is seeking an Environmental Specialist to oversee site supervision, ecological surveys, and compliance with environmental legislation on major developments. You will coordinate environmental deliverables and engage with stakeholders across projects.

The role requires strong experience in EMS ISO14001:2015, driving Licence, and willingness to travel to remote or active construction sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in an Environmental Management role, with onsite environmental and ecological experience.
• UK environmental legislation knowledge relevant to construction or industrial installations.

Responsibilities

• Site inspections and reporting of environmental issues; advise on remedial actions.
• Provide on-site ecological guidance and conduct walkover surveys and species checks.
• Prepare reports on environmental planning constraints, permits, and compliance.
• Gather and collate environmental performance information.
• Support compliance with environmental legislation and EDMS documentation.
• Assist with planning and coordinating environmental deliverables.
• Act as onsite point of contact for environmental matters and engage stakeholders.
