Job summary

Shell UK seeks a Principal Enterprise Architect to shape the digital backbone for Downstream Customer & Renewables. You will lead architecture across Global Lubricants, Customer Operations, Low Carbon Solutions and CRM, defining roadmaps and guiding major transformation programs.

You will drive design aligned with Shell standards, ensure scalable data and integration strategies, and mentor a team of Lead Architects to build architectural capability across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Proven enterprise architecture leadership across multiple domains.
• Strong depth in CRM and digital platforms with Salesforce/Dynamics experience.
• Experience engaging senior stakeholders in complex, multi-portfolio environments.
• Ability to translate strategy into actionable architecture roadmaps.
• Leadership in building architecture capability and coaching teams.

Responsibilities

• Shape strategy and set direction for enterprise architecture across domains.
• Own architecture for Global Lubricants, Customer Operations, Low Carbon Solutions and CRM.
• Define target architectures and multi-year roadmaps aligned to business goals.
• Lead design using Shell principles and promote reusable, scalable solutions.
• Champion data models, integration patterns and platform governance.
• Lead and develop Lead Architects and architecture communities.
• Diagnose cross-domain challenges and steer high-impact solutions.
• Partner with senior leaders to shape demand and governance decisions.
• Oversee programmes to ensure alignment with enterprise direction.
