Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate design efforts between internal teams and outside vendors to develop optimal solutions for Amazon Logistical network, including equipment specifications and Fulfillment Centre (FC) layouts.
• Capital project management to include - Creation of conceptual drawings, equipment specifications and bid documentation to facilitate a competitive bid environment
• Provide frequent on-site monitoring and enforcement of installation schedules and vendor quality with MHE vendors/subcontractors.
• Inspect prospective and completed facilities in accordance with corporate standards and procedures, ensuring proper follow-up on snagging lists and warranty work
• Provide leadership and coordination between internal departments and MHE vendors for multiple installation sites.
• Develop and manage budget and contract documents including RFPs, change order controls, purchase orders, and invoicing
• Coordinate with local site management to ensure proper operator training, procedural compliance, maintenance practices are followed for new and existing MHE equipment
• Creating, submitting and tracking the relevant Capex documentation to ensure that all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Work very closely with the UK Real Estate, IT and Process teams together with the software and Operations Integration teams to ensure on time project delivery.
• Understand the Operational process in detail, including the all the relevant WMS tools used on a daily basis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
• Experience working with the designs of complex automated material, handling equipment, packaging technologies, and systems including robotics and high-speed manufacturing
• Experience in technical leadership of development, testing, and implementation of large-scale, complex technology projects
• Knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean manufacturing efforts, transportation and logistics, or fulfillment and distribution centers
• Experience using MS Excel, MS Project, AutoCAD and commercial off-the-shelf technologies such as Tableau, SQL, or equivalent, Experience with end-to-end project management, or experience with domestic or international travel coordination
• Experience with complex MHE and packaging lines or process design based on Lean Manufacturing or Toyota Manufacturing System
• MBA, or experience negotiating with internal and external stakeholders
• Experience in a fast-paced, high-tech company, or experience prioritizing and handling multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines
• Experience with process improvement techniques such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma
• Experience in solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits), or experience delivering results for large, cross‑functional initiatives/projects
• Experience with hands‑on security engineering
• Experience managing and or coordinating projects in a fast pace environment
