Job summary

Flow Engineering is seeking a senior engineering manager to lead a team building the core of our AI-native platform for hardware teams. You will own delivery for the engineering group while remaining hands-on with coding and code reviews.

You'll collaborate with product and design, mentor engineers, establish best practices, and help shape how AI-powered workflows and LLM-enabled features appear in the product. This is a hands-on leadership role at a fast-growing startup.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of production software development experience.
• 2+ years in engineering management at early-stage companies.
• Hands-on coder who participates in design and reviews.
• Strong communication and direct feedback skills.
• Experience delivering enterprise-grade software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the engineering team, guiding onboarding and career development.
• Own end-to-end product execution, from scoping with customers to ship and iterate.
• Review architecture and code, staying hands-on when needed.
• Establish engineering best practices and process discipline.
• Collaborate with product, design, and customer-facing teams.
• Partner with recruiting to build the team and shape hiring.
