Job summary

Synthesia, the world-leading AI video platform, is seeking an engineering leader to drive growth-focused initiatives within the Agents Platform team. You will balance speed with long-term scalability, partnering with product and data to maximize business outcomes across multiple teams.

You will mentor engineers, monitor performance with clear metrics, and help scale the team while aligning to product and revenue goals. This is a full-time, remote-friendly role based in Europe.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams delivering high-impact, user-facing projects (4+ years).

About the role

Lead the delivery of complex engineering projects focused on driving user acquisition, activation, and revenue growth. Break down initiatives into manageable stages with predictable timelines, making clear trade-offs between speed, experimentation, and long-term scalability. Partner closely with product and data to prioritize high-impact work and maximize business outcomes.

Understand engineering levelling and scale the team by identifying and filling skill gaps, particularly in areas like experimentation, performance, and conversion optimization. Collaborate with recruiting to attract and retain top talent aligned with Growth’s fast-paced, outcome-driven environment.

Monitor team performance proactively, ensuring strong execution and continuous improvement. Support engineers in delivering measurable impact and developing their careers through ownership of key growth metrics.

Navigate difficult conversations with clarity and empathy, especially when balancing business urgency with technical quality. Foster a collaborative, high-velocity team culture aligned with company goals.

Team you would be leading – Agents Platform

The Agents Platform team is responsible for building a highly reliable platform that has consistent uptime, low latency, and extensive support for model types and voice types. This team will own and build the repeatable platform layer that other teams can build their products on top of.

This work will be done in close collaboration with R&D to productionise their work and in close collaboration with the wider Product org cover their immediate needs.

What we're looking for:

• Proven experience leading multiple engineering teams delivering high-impact, user-facing projects, ideally 4+ years

• Strong ability to operate in fast-paced, experiment-driven environments with clear business metrics

• Experience scaling teams and aligning them to product and revenue goals

• Proven ability to track performance and help team members improve output and impact

• Excellent communication skills, especially in cross-functional environments (product, data, design)

• Relevant engineering background building scalable SaaS products

• Experience with growth, experimentation, or conversion optimization is a strong plus

The hiring process:

Interview loop with various Senior stakeholders across Engineering. This will consist of 5 separate calls covering:

• People Management/Talent System

• Technical Leadership

• Program Management

• Cross-Functional Strategy

• Leadership

The process does not need to take long - we can be done in 2-3 weeks.

Other important info:

• Our preference is for this role to based either in-office or remote in the following locations: UK, Germany, Switzerland or Ireland.
  We may also be able to support remote workers in other locations across Europe subject to compliance and right to work checks.

• The salary starts at EUR/GBP/CHF 180,000 base + stock option plan.

• This is full-time employment only - no contractors possible - usually through OysterHR.

• Everyone at Synthesia gets 25 days of leave + local holidays (no extra paid or unpaid leave possible).
