AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Power System Studies Engineer to lead grid compliance, dynamic simulations and power system studies across offshore wind and renewables. The role combines technical leadership with client engagement and mentoring within the PES Practice.
You will conduct simulations for Offshore Wind, load and generation interconnection, and integration of renewables, working with PSCAD, PowerFactory and scripting tools. Hybrid working and site-flexible locations are offered.

The Power Energy Systems (PES) Practice of AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Power System Studies Engineer with extensive offshore wind or renewables experience to lead grid compliance, dynamic simulation, power system studies, technical consulting, and client engagement across renewable energy projects.
AtkinsRéalis specialises in all aspects of Transmission and Distribution engineering within the UK and internationally. We provide industry-leading engineering solutions across the Transmission and Distribution sector, including substations, overhead lines, underground and subsea cable systems, offshore wind, solar, BESS and HVDC interconnectors.

We offer hybrid working, which involves travel/office-based working 3 days per week. This position can be based at any of our key locations: Epsom, London, Bristol, Leeds, Birmingham, Manchester, or Glasgow. Other locations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
This role focuses on grid compliance, power system analysis, EMT and dynamic studies, and the application of advanced simulation tools to solve complex network challenges. The successful candidate will combine strong technical expertise with client-facing, leadership, and mentoring responsibilities
You will be conducting simulations and analytical studies for Offshore Wind projects, load and generation interconnection, integration of renewables.
You have a proven track record of leading power systems studies on renewable energy projects. You combine strong technical judgement with the ability to influence clients, guide multidisciplinary teams, develop others and contribute to business growth. You are comfortable working in complex and changing environments and can communicate confidently with stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally.
