Job summary

Fanatics Betting & Gaming is seeking an experienced iOS engineer to join the Instant Rips team for Fanatics Live. You will design and ship live-break iOS features—auctions, stream viewing, chat, and marketplace—using SwiftUI, TCA, and Apollo GraphQL.

You’ll own components end-to-end, write tests, review PRs, and mentor peers in a fast-paced, real-time environment. The role emphasizes modern iOS tooling (Swift, SwiftUI, TCA, Tuist/XcodeGen) and AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building consumer-facing iOS applications at scale.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tooling and LLM optimization loops.
• Swift Concurrency—async/await and structured concurrency.
• SwiftUI—stateless/stateful view patterns and NavigationStack.
• The Composable Architecture (TCA) — reducers, stores, actions and testing.
• Apollo GraphQL (iOS) — schema-driven development and codegen.
• SPM multi-package architecture and modular feature separation.
• Tuist or XcodeGen for project generation tooling; CI/CD via Bitrise/Fastlane.

Responsibilities

• Write unit tests with mock dependencies and TestStore patterns.

About the Team

Fanatics Collectibles is the home of sports cards, trading cards, and collectibles for over 100 million fans worldwide. As part of the global Fanatics platform, we're rebuilding how collectors discover, buy, sell, and experience their hobby - live, in real time, at scale.

Our flagship mobile product, Fanatics Live , is where that experience comes to life: live card breaks, real-time auctions, high-traffic chat, marketplace transactions, and deep collection management tools. The stakes are high and the traffic is real - we build for peak-load moments where latency is visible and reliability is nonnegotiable.

Role Summary

You'll join the Instant Rips iOS team - the group responsible for the live-break commerce experience on Fanatics Live. We build the surfaces millions of collectors use in real time: bidding in live auctions, joining breaks, navigating a high-velocity chat stream, and transacting in the marketplace.

The iOS stack is modern by design. We're SwiftUI-first, run The Composable Architecture TCA across the app, use Swift Concurrency throughout, talk to our backend via Apollo GraphQL, and maintain a clean modular SPM codebase generated with Tuist. There's no legacy UIKit app hiding under the surface - you'll be working in a codebase you can be proud of.

AI tooling is part of how we work. We expect engineers to use it on the job, give it good context, and verify the output - not just accept it.

What you’ll do

• Design and ship production iOS features across the live-break experience: auctions, stream viewing, chat, marketplace, and collector tools
• Own features end-to-end - API contracts, TCA reducers, SwiftUI views, testing, and release
• Write genuine test coverage: unit tests with mock dependencies, TCA
• TestStore assertions, async test patterns - not coverage theater
• Review pull requests with judgment: surface real defects, prioritize what matters, coach on what to let go
• Contribute to architectural decisions: modularization strategy, effect management, failure handling
• Mentor engineers earlier in their career and raise the quality bar across the team
