As a Senior Engineer at the AMRC, you will play an active role in solving real-world manufacturing problems. Working in a diverse team in the Integrated Manufacturing Group (IMG) to develop novel solutions for the high-value manufacturing sector, you will lead research into specific technical fields including improving manufacturing processes through mechanical engineering, mechanical design, assembly, designing and developing automated fixturing and robot end effectors.
You will lead the delivery of projects for partner companies and research council-funded projects. Reporting to IMG's senior management team, you will be responsible for the oversight of junior engineers and ensuring successful project delivery. Your work will encompass all aspects of engaging with manufacturers, large and small, to identify, scope and deliver projects aimed at improving efficiency, productivity, quality, and sustainability.
In this role you will be expected to continuously develop your skills and stay ahead of emerging technologies in your field. You will use these skills to help IMG deliver tangible impact to the UK high value manufacturing sector.
