Senior Engineer

Our client is currently looking for a Senior Engineer in a contracting role, the contract offered is Outside of IR35 and offering a rate that is commensurate with your experience, the role will be based on site in the reading area but the client can offer hybrid working. Candidates must have the ability to gain SC clearance and will need to be Sole British nationals.

Candidates will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing, construction and commissioning process by representing engineering and also responsible for resolving manufacturing, installation and commissioning challenges with the support of the design manager. You will also be coordinating the development of Operation and maintenance manuals with the supply chain and stakeholders.

This role will be working on a project that includes Blast doors so candidates must have experience of Designing and manufacturing blast doors as well as experience of management, mechanical technical problem solving, investigation and authoring reports. During the role you will be supported by a design manager to give direction but you will need to independently complete tasks efficiently to maintain the project timeline.

Candidates will also be responsible for:

• Authoring Technical Notes/Assessments
• Requirements Management and Traceability
• Reservation Management
• Inspection and Test Plan Reviewing
• Progressing Documentation through Document Management System D2
• Resolving Manufacturing, Installation and Commissioning Challenges with the support of the Design Manager.
• Assisting with the Certification of Design process
• Reviewing drawings
• Attendings meetings with suppliers
• Stakeholder management
