Job Role of the Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established, industry-leading manufacturing business renowned for its operational excellence and commitment to continuous improvement.

This position is ideally suited to a highly skilled engineer looking to take on additional responsibility, providing technical leadership and support to the engineering function while remaining hands‑on with maintenance activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for both electrical and mechanical maintenance, leading fault‑finding activities, supporting planned preventative maintenance programmes, minimising downtime, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across site equipment and processes. You will also play a key role in mentoring engineers, sharing best practice, and assisting with the development of the wider engineering team.

• Previous experience working as a Maintenance Engineer or Senior Engineer within the UK.
• Experience working with PLC systems, with the ability to fault‑find using inputs and outputs.
• Strong understanding of continuous improvement methodologies and reliability initiatives.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
