Job summary

Brook Green Supply, a leading independent B2B energy supplier, is seeking a Senior Sales Trader to grow the Trading Desk by leading key client relationships and developing trading strategies across UK gas and power markets.

Reporting to the Sales Trading and Origination Manager, you will provide strategic trading guidance, price and execute customer trades, and mentor junior colleagues in a fast-paced energy trading environment.

Qualifications

Extensive experience in sales trading or energy trading with client portfolios.
Strong knowledge of UK gas and power markets.
Experience with ETRM systems and trading platforms.
Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver commercial outcomes.
Excellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Clear communication and presentation skills.
Degree or equivalent industry experience.

Responsibilities

Execute trades for flexible supply customers across UK gas and power markets.
Own and develop key client relationships and advise on trading strategies.
Collaborate with Trading, Commercial and client teams to deliver risk management solutions.
Produce market analysis, trading reports, and commercial recommendations.
Lead improvements to client-facing trading and risk products.
Ensure accurate trade execution, booking, position management and reporting in ETRM.
Monitor client flow, pricing and execution outcomes, escalate risks as needed.
Improve trading processes, controls and management reporting.
Serve as senior point of contact for complex client requirements and market discussions.
Coach and mentor junior Trading Desk colleagues.
