Job summary

Thinking Search is seeking an experienced Projects lawyer to join its energy-focused team advising on complex, high-value transactions in the UK and internationally. You will gain exposure to market-leading work across oil & gas and energy transition projects, with a clear progression pathway.

The role involves advising on major energy and infrastructure projects, handling M&A, project development, financing and strategic transactions, and engaging with clients across the energy value chain.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE.
• Strong transactional and drafting experience in projects or energy.
• Oil & gas experience preferred; energy transition exposure advantageous.
• Commercially astute with strong risk assessment skills.
• Confident engaging with clients and working on cross-border matters.

Responsibilities

• Advise on major energy and infrastructure projects across the UK and international markets.
• Work on M&A, project development, financing and strategic transactions.
• Support clients across the full energy value chain, including up/mid/downstream, LNG and refining.
• Draft and negotiate complex project and commercial documentation.
• Play an active role in client relationships and business development.
• Work closely with colleagues across multiple jurisdictions.
