Job summary

Adecco Portugal is seeking a Senior Energy Analyst to shape and build next-generation energy system forecasting capabilities. This hybrid role in Warwickshire involves designing an integrated modelling architecture and connecting multiple forecasting models into a cohesive ecosystem.

You will develop Python-based modelling solutions, drive architecture standards, and collaborate with analysts, data scientists and stakeholders to enable scalable, data-exchange-enabled modelling environments.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Python development experience.
• Experience designing and implementing integrated modelling solutions.
• Knowledge of model orchestration, workflow design and system integration.
• Experience building modelling platforms, frameworks or simulation environments.
• Understanding of software engineering principles within scientific or analytical environments.
• Ability to work across technical and non-technical stakeholder groups.
• Excellent problem-solving and architecture design skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop an integrated modelling architecture from the ground up.
• Connect multiple forecasting, simulation and analytical models into a cohesive ecosystem.
• Build frameworks that enable models to exchange data and interact effectively.
• Develop and maintain Python-based modelling solutions and workflows.
• Help define the technical platform and infrastructure required to support integrated modelling.
• Collaborate with analysts, data scientists, modellers and technical stakeholders.
• Drive best practice in model development, integration, automation and governance.
• Support the evolution of whole energy system forecasting capabilities.
