Job summary

Good Energy Group in Chippenham, Wiltshire, seeks a Compliance and Assurance Manager - Supply to lead regulatory risk and compliance for Retail Energy Supply. You will own the compliance approach, advise on obligations, and drive improvements across cross-functional teams.

You will report to the Head of Information Governance, Risk & Compliance, manage incidents, and oversee assurance frameworks, policy development, and regulatory reporting. Hybrid working with monthly office visits.

Qualifications

• Stakeholder management & influence: build relationships with senior leaders to ensure compliance actions are owned.
• Team & operational leadership: guide direct reports and foster a risk-aware culture.
• Energy industry regulatory knowledge: understanding of licence conditions and industry codes.
• External regulatory experience: experience engaging with regulators such as Ofgem.
• Assurance & risk frameworks: lead assurance activities within a three lines model.
• Policy & workflow documentation: translate technical concepts into clear operational docs.
• Audit & regulatory change delivery: manage complex regulatory changes and audits.
• Third-party management: manage contracts and third-party arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and align operational teams and senior leaders on regulatory risk.
• Act as the main compliance lead for Retail Energy Supply and advise on obligations.
• Provide line management and development support to direct reports.
• Lead regulatory reporting submissions for Retail Energy Supply with robust evidence.
• Oversee incident management, data breaches and escalation of regulatory risks.
• Assess regulatory change and prepare senior leaders for delivery.
• Own assurance frameworks for high-risk Retail Energy Supply processes.
• Develop and maintain policies, processes and risk controls.
• Plan and deliver control testing and manage audit observations.
