This remains the core of our business driven by a commitment to sustainability and the goal of reducing our clients' carbon footprint.

The Role in a Nutshell 🐿️

This home-based Senior Energy & Carbon Consultant role in our Climate Action Team requires occasional travel to the office in Preston (Fulwood) and regular travel across the UK to client sites. A car allowance will be provided, and sustainable travel options are encouraged wherever suitable.

  • ➡️ Lead and manage technical assignments, applying professional standards under minimal supervision.
  • ➡️ Independently manage a portfolio of contracts and associated client relationships simultaneously.
  • ➡️ Deliver across a portfolio of energy/carbon-related solutions, services, and products.
  • ➡️ Ensure delivery aligns with both client needs and business objectives.
  • ➡️ Support and mentor peers, including supervision during site visits.
Requirements

  2. 2️⃣ Leadership of Complex Projects Manage and deliver complex and high-value energy and carbon-related contracts, ensuring alignment with both client needs and business objectives.
  3. 3️⃣ Advanced Client Engagement Develop and maintain strategic relationships with key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and providing expert guidance on long‑term sustainability strategies.
  4. 4️⃣ Mentorship Provide mentorship and training to less experienced consultants, sharing technical expertise and fostering team capability to improve delivery flexibility and quality.
  5. 5️⃣ Business Growth and Cross‑Selling Identify and act on opportunities to cross‑sell additional products and services to clients, actively contributing to the organisation's revenue growth.
  6. 6️⃣ Leadership in Product Development Lead the development, improvement, and customisation of energy and carbon products as requested.
  7. 7️⃣ Deliver Advanced Technical Insights and expertise Prepare in-depth, high‑quality reports with advanced insights and recommendations for complex technical and net zero challenges.
  8. 8️⃣ Energy and Carbon Audits Conduct on‑site energy and carbon audits to assess usage patterns, identify savings opportunities, and recommend actionable improvements.
  9. 9️⃣ Technical Sales Support Provide technical expertise during client pitches and sales meetings to support the development of new business opportunities.
  10. 🔟 Regulatory Compliance & Awareness Ensure client compliance with energy and carbon legislation and other relevant frameworks. Stay informed on evolving energy and carbon regulations and legislative changes.
