Job summary

Core-Asset Consulting Ltd in Glasgow is recruiting a Tax Consultant to join the EMEA Corporate Tax team on a 9-month temporary basis. This is a senior role overseeing tax reporting and compliance across multiple jurisdictions, with a strong focus on the UK.

You will manage UK and EMEA corporate tax compliance, forecasts, and provisioning; calculate and review tax entries; oversee disclosures in financial statements; coordinate audits; and support practical tax reporting across US GAAP and IFRS.

Qualifications

• Qualified professional in ACCA/CIMA/CA/CTA with UK tax experience.
• Experience with UK Corporation Tax in practice or industry.
• Background in financial services or in-house tax department preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing UK and EMEA corporate tax compliance, forecasting and provisioning
• Calculating and reviewing corporate income tax and deferred tax accounting entries
• Overseeing tax disclosures within financial statements
• Managing responses to regulatory and tax authority audits
• Coordinating quarterly effective tax rate calculations under US GAAP and IFRS
• Overseeing corporate income tax return submissions
• Working closely with Tax, Finance and wider business stakeholders
• Managing and developing team members through coaching, training and support
• Driving process improvements, automation and operational efficiencies
• Building strong relationships with key internal stakeholders
• Managing additional tax reporting and analytical requirements as needed
