Job summary

Videojet Technologies, part of Veralto, seeks an embedded software engineer to design, develop and maintain real-time software for our core product range. You will work in an international R&D team on real-time motion control, embedded Linux, drivers and interfaces.

The role spans New Product Development and support, with opportunities to improve performance, reliability and maintainability, while collaborating across software, electronics and mechanical teams in a hybrid, learning-focused

Qualifications

• Strong embedded software design in C/C++ on RTOS or embedded Linux.
• Experience with RTOS such as FreeRTOS on Cortex‑M.
• Knowledge of embedded Linux layers: drivers, bootloaders, user space.
• Experience with WinCE embedded systems.
• Familiar with GCC/Make/CMake/Buildroot toolchains.
• Excellent debugging using Trace32 or GDB.
• Proficient with Visual Studio, Eclipse, Git, Jira.
• Collaborative across software, electronics, mechanical and product teams.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/Software Eng or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain embedded software for real-time and Linux‑based platforms.
• Develop understanding of products to improve performance and reliability.
• Contribute to New Product Development and maintenance of existing products.
• Work in an Agile environment with planning and reviews.
• Create clear technical documentation for design, testing and release.
• Take ownership of tasks and deliver against plans.
