Verso Recruitment Group is seeking a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to take ownership of embedded development for connected products. You will craft high-quality C/C++ code, work closely with hardware, firmware, and test teams, and drive secure networking functionality.
Ideal candidates bring strong experience in embedded C/C++, TCP/IP, Ethernet, microcontrollers (ARM Cortex-M), RTOS, and a passion for cybersecurity in product development.

Location: Nottingham
Salary: £65,000 to £80,000 basic + benefits
Hybrid working: Ideally local, able to work on-site 2/3 days a week. Open to people further afield and in the office less if they have an ideal background.

They’re now looking to strengthen their engineering team with a Senior Embedded Software Engineer who can take ownership of embedded development, secure connectivity and cybersecurity across their product portfolio.
This is a hands-on engineering role rather than a purely architectural or managerial position. You’ll be writing production code, solving complex technical problems and working closely with hardware, firmware, software, test and compliance teams.
You’ll be responsible for developing and implementing secure, network-connected functionality within embedded products.
Experienced in embedded software development, with a strong background in connected, wireless or other high-technology products.
