Job summary

ENODA Ltd in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to join the Microelectronics & Embedded Systems Team. You will oversee real‑time control and networking firmware for next‑generation hardware platforms, interfacing with ADCs, DACs, sensors, and communication interfaces.

You will design, implement, and test embedded C code, participate in peer reviews, and contribute to debugging, bring-up, and documentation to ensure robust, maintainable systems.

Qualifications

• Excellent C programming skills with modular, testable code.
• Strong understanding of RTOS concepts (TI-RTOS, FreeRTOS, or similar).
• Proven experience with interfaces: I2C, SPI, UART, Ethernet, GPIO.
• Proficient with hardware debugging tools: oscilloscope, logic analyser, serial probes.
• Familiar with source control tools: Git, Bitbucket, JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and test embedded C code for real-time apps on microcontrollers/DSPs.
• Interface with hardware components (ADCs, DACs, sensors, comms).
• Participate in peer reviews and knowledge sharing.
• Contribute to system-level debugging, bring-up, and hardware-software integration.
• Document code and design notes; maintain Confluence pages.
