Job summary

The Senior Embedded Software Engineer, Newark-on-Trent, Nottinghamshire, will be expected to take a leading role in embedded software development, working across the full product lifecycle while collaborating with hardware, firmware, test and compliance teams.

Responsibilities include design and development of secure embedded software for real-time systems, plus knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/S and TLS, SPI/I2C/UART/DMA interfaces, and strong debugging and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Strong embedded C and C++ development experience.
• Experience with RTOS and ARM Cortex processors.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP/S, TLS and network-connected embedded systems.
• Experience with low-level interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, DMA).
• Strong debugging and technical communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing embedded software in C/C++ for real-time systems.
• Developing secure network-connected products using TCP/IP, HTTP/S and TLS.
• Writing, testing and maintaining production-quality embedded software.
• Supporting cybersecurity, compliance and secure product development.
• Working with RTOS and low-level device drivers for ARM-based platforms.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to deliver new products.
