Job summary

Filtronic in the United Kingdom develops advanced RF and microwave solutions for telecoms, space and defence. You will own electronic designs from concept to volume manufacture, collaborating with RF, software and firmware teams to deliver high‑performance systems.

The role focuses on analogue and digital circuit design, schematic capture (Altium Designer), EMC/EMI considerations, and hands‑on lab testing. Hybrid working and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong analogue and digital circuit design experience.
• Experience with schematic capture and PCB design tools.
• Familiarity with EMC/EMI design and testing principles.
• Experience using lab equipment such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analysers.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop analogue and digital electronic circuits, including mixed-signal systems.
• Capture schematics and define PCB requirements, including materials and stack-up.
• Develop digital systems using microprocessors, ADCs/DACs, and associated logic.
• Produce detailed specifications, perform simulation, and support component selection.
• Troubleshoot hardware interfaces and perform system-level integration and testing.
