Job summary

A forward-thinking technology company in the Shipley area is seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join their multi-disciplinary team. In this hands-on role, you will lead the electronics design process from concept through to production, ensuring compliance with performance standards. Candidates should have a degree in Electronic Engineering, experience with PCB design tools, and 5+ years in electronics design. Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional experience in electronics design.
  • Proven track record delivering products within multi-disciplinary environments.
  • Eligible for, or already hold, SC-level security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead hardware design, including embedded processor systems, PCBs and communication interfaces.
  • Perform PCB schematic capture and layout, including component library creation.
  • Ensure designs meet all EMC compliance and performance standards.

Senior Electronics Engineer

Location: Shipley, West Yorkshire + Hybrid Work from Home and flexi hours

Salary: Up to 70,000 + Benefits

KO2 are working with a forward-thinking technology company in the Shipley area, seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join their multi-disciplinary team developing the next generation of wireless communication products.

This is a hands‑on, end‑to‑end role - you will play a key role in electronics design process from concept and prototyping through to production handover, ensuring every design meets exacting standards of performance, reliability, and manufacturability.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience with PCB design tools (Altium Designer and/or PADS Logic/Layout).
  • Experience designing multi-layer PCBs
  • Strong experience with digital electronic circuits
  • Experience with a host of serial and comms protocols (RS232, RS485, Ethernet, SPI, UART etc)
  • Degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in electronics design.
  • Proven track record delivering products within multi-disciplinary development environments.
  • Eligible for, or already hold, SC-level security clearance (British citizenship required).
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative, cross‑functional team.
Key Responsibilities
