Job summary

DTC | A Codan Company, based in Whiteley, Hampshire, is seeking a Senior Buyer - Electronics to lead supplier selection, negotiations, and strategic sourcing for electronic components. The role supports NPI and ongoing production while ensuring quality, delivery, and supply chain resilience.

Ideal candidates will have CEM experience, strong market knowledge, and the ability to collaborate with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Contract Electronics Manufacturing (CEM) and/or electronic component sourcing and distribution.
• Strong knowledge of the global electronics components market, including supply chain trends and pricing.
• Experience in supplier management, contract management, and strategic sourcing.

Responsibilities

• Lead supplier selection, evaluation, commercial negotiation, and contract award for electronic components and related commodities.
• Develop and execute category sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives and market conditions.
• Build and maintain a high-performing supply chain delivering cost, quality, delivery, and continuity.
• Establish and monitor supplier performance through KPIs and drive improvements.
