Job summary

SoCode Limited in the Cambridge area is seeking a Principal Electronic Systems Architect to shape and deliver advanced electronic warfare capabilities. This senior role combines hands-on technical leadership with cross-disciplinary collaboration across RF, signal processing, FPGA and software to define deployable, mission-ready systems.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience architecting electronic warfare systems in product development or defence settings.
• Depth in at least one core area (system architecture, RF, signal processing, FPGA or software) with breadth to integrate into operations.
• Experience contributing to bids/proposals and ownership of complex technical programmes.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture for deployable EW systems across RF, electronics and software.
• Engage with government/industry partners and contribute to technical proposals.
• Mentor engineers and, over time, lead a small group of technical leads.
• Support live trials and demonstrations; travel may be required.
