Job summary

United Infrastructure Systems seeks an experienced Supervising Electrician to oversee electrical and instrumentation installation works across client sites. You will supervise teams and subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality and on-time delivery, with travel and extended site hours as required.

You will lead installations, perform CompEx inspections where needed, coordinate activities, and ensure documentation and handover tasks are completed to high standards.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds, AM2, or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (City & Guilds) or equivalent.
• 2391 Inspection & Testing or equivalent.
• CCNSG certification.
• SHEA Passport.
• SCO1 & SCO2.
• TEM 2, 3 & 4.
• CompEx certification.
• Experience leading small teams in a supervisory role.
• Experience in electrical installation and/or electrical instrumentation environments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise installation of electrical and instrumentation systems on client sites.
• Lead and supervise team members to ensure safety, quality, and productivity.
• Carry out CompEx inspections and sign-off where required.
• Coordinate daily activities of electricians, instrumentation personnel, and subcontractors.
• Provide daily CDM supervision and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Ensure installations meet project targets and deadlines.
• Ensure commissioning and handover documentation is completed accurately.
• Maintain Simkiss quality standards and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure all site activities comply with Health & Safety and CDM regulations.
• Liaise with clients, subcontractors, site management, and other stakeholders.
• Identify and address issues affecting safety, quality, programme or delivery.
