This role suits a hands-on Electrical Project Manager experienced in delivering complex renewable energy and M&E infrastructure projects within live hospital or healthcare environments. The contract runs for approximately 6–10 months and offers an excellent opportunity to play a key role in sustainable energy development.

My client, a leading M&E Contractor, is seeking a Senior Electrical Project Manager to lead a large-scale solar PV and EV charging installation project within a live hospital environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full project lifecycle for solar PV and EV charging installations.
• Develop detailed construction phase plans and ensure compliance with CDM and H&S legislation.
• Lead project scheduling, budgeting, risk management, and reporting.
• Oversee subcontractors and coordinate on-site activities to meet deadlines and quality standards.
• Handle DNO applications, system design, commissioning, and as-built documentation.
• Plan scaffolding and access routes (birdcage scaffolds, pedestrian walkways).
• Liaise with hospital stakeholders to minimise operational disruption.
• Enforce health & safety best practices throughout all project phases.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 7–10 years’ experience as an Electrical Project Manager or Senior Project Manager in M&E or renewable energy.
• Proven track record delivering solar PV and EV charging projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, commissioning, and health & safety protocols.
• PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent project management qualification desirable.
• NEBOSH or equivalent safety certification.
