Job summary
Carrington West is seeking an experienced Electrical Installation Supervisor to oversee electrical installation works on wastewater treatment projects. The role includes supervising subcontractors and site activities, ensuring safety, quality and adherence to project specifications.
You will read electrical drawings, coordinate MCCs, control panels and instrumentation, and support commissioning teams through handover. Relevant SSSTS/SMSTS and ECS/CSCS certifications are preferred.
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising electrical installation projects, especially in water/wastewater sectors.
- Strong knowledge of BS7671 Wiring Regulations and safe systems of work.
- Experience coordinating electrical subcontractors and site activities.
Responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day electrical installation works across wastewater treatment sites.
- Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and site activities to support project milestones.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality requirements.
- Oversee installation of containment systems, cabling, MCCs, control panels and instrumentation.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and specifications.
- Liaise with project managers, construction teams, client representatives and commissioning engineers.
- Monitor site progress and resolve technical or installation issues.
- Maintain accurate site records and installation documentation.
- Support inspection, testing and snagging activities through to handover.
