Job summary

Dornan Engineering Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our on-site teams in London. You will be responsible for interfacing with client representatives and the supply chain, reviewing engineering from inception to handover, and ensuring timely resolution of technical issues on site.

You will lead procurement activities, monitor manufacture and delivery to site, and participate in risk assessments and safety-related planning in line with project programmes and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as a senior electrical engineer on construction sites.
• Ability to interface with clients, supply chain and project teams.
• Strong focus on safety, quality and site compliance.

Responsibilities

• Interface with client representatives and supply chain on site.
• Lead engineering review from inception to handover with PM and teams.
• Ensure technical issues are resolved without delay on site.
• Procure equipment and monitor manufacture through to delivery.
• Attend supply chain meetings and monitor progress against programme.
• Prepare risk assessments and method statements for Health & Safety.
• Liaise with design teams to ensure correct plant operation on site.

Senior Electrical Engineers

Dornan Engineering Group is a leading international engineering contractor delivering high-value projects across Europe, UK & Ireland. These roles are Based in London, across multiple sites this is an exciting opportunity to join our growing site Teams as a Senior Electrical Engineer,

Your day will include:

• To interface with the client's representatives and the supply chain on site. They would work effectively with the project manager and project teams to review and manage project Engineering from inception to handover.
• As a senior member of the team, the Senior Engineer will be an exemplar ambassador for the company and its values, integrity, dependability, safety, pride, and quality.
• Ensuring that the technical issues are resolved without delay.
• Process internal procurement from equipment enquires through requisitioning and monitoring manufacture through to delivery to site whilst maintaining a comprehensive audit train
• Attend and record regular supply chain meetings to ensure that progress is monitored and maintained within the overall construction programme.
• Prepare risk assessments, method statements and all aspects relating to Health and Safety on site.
• Liaise with the design team and supply chain to ensure correct operation of the plant on site and successful handover.
• Monitor and record progress on site against the construction programme.
• Ensure that the Health and Safety, Environment and quality procedures are followed, and adequate records maintained.
• Develop the project specific qualify plan.
• Undertake regular meetings with the supply chain to maintain progress and to ensure resources are matched to the construction programme.
• To liaise with the project manager and prepare the project close out report.
• Review with the project manager the allocation of resources and to review progress.
• Review and ensure that the site-based personnel have the correct training and valid certificate for the project.
• All other reasonable tasks assigned to you from time to time from your manager
