We support innovative energy projects across the UK and Ireland, providing design, intellectual and engineering services to developers, investors and owner‑operators.

We are hiring a senior electrical engineer to work from our Stockport office with UK and some EU travel.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver electrical design, project management and commissioning for power transmission infrastructure.
• Provide expertise in HV, MV, LV, embedded protection circuits, grid connections, switchgear, substations and switchyards.
• Engage with external and internal clients, attend project meetings and produce high‑quality technical reports and models.
• Conduct feasibility studies, due diligence and design reviews.
• Support acceptance testing and site‑based construction monitoring in the UK or Ireland.
• Work effectively as part of a wider engineering team or autonomously when required.

Qualifications

• A good degree in Electrical or Power Systems engineering.
• Significant post‑university experience in electrical power / transmission infrastructure design.
• Experience with HV, MV, LV, embedded protection circuits, grid connections, HV & LV switchgear, substations and switchyards.
• Proficiency with electrical engineering sector software.
• Strong understanding of health, safety and welfare in engineering.
• Experience with site and factory acceptance testing.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
