Job summary

TipTopJob is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Newton Abbot. You will design LV and MV electrical systems for gas turbine generator sets, develop drawings and documentation, and support PLC/HMI programming and technical issues on customer projects.

Qualifications

Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years relevant electrical engineering experience.
Experience in electrical engineering design, development or systems engineering.
Ability to analyse technical problems and develop practical engineering solutions.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of engineering activities.
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel

Responsibilities

As Senior Electrical Engineer, you will take technical ownership of allocated electrical engineering activities.
Design LV and MV electrical systems for gas turbine generator sets and associated equipment.
Develop and maintain electrical designs, drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
Work with PLC and HMI systems, including programming, development and technical support.
Provide electrical engineering solutions across product development and customer projects.
Take technical responsibility for projects and ensure delivery to timescales and budgets.
Identify and resolve electrical engineering issues through structured problem solving.
Collaborate with other engineers to ensure integrated designs meet requirements.
Support verification, validation and certification activities.
