Job summary

Keyman Personnel in London is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join a multidisciplinary building-services consultancy, taking ownership of electrical design packages across a range of building projects.

You will develop safe, coordinated electrical building-services designs, perform calculations, produce drawings and specifications, and coordinate with other disciplines while engaging directly with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Experience producing and/or owning electrical calculations and design deliverables.
• Good knowledge of LV power distribution and lighting design.
• Experience in building-services or MEP consultancy.
• Ability to coordinate electrical designs with other building disciplines.
• Strong client and project-team communication skills.
• Relevant Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

• Electrical building-services design across power, lighting and LV distribution systems
• Load assessments, diversity calculations and electrical distribution design
• Cable sizing and protection calculations
• Lighting calculations and modelling
• Producing drawings, specifications, schedules and technical documentation
• Coordinating electrical services with mechanical, structural and architectural disciplines
• Managing your own design packages and project deliverables
• Attending client and multidisciplinary design meetings
• Reviewing designs and maintaining appropriate technical checking procedures
• Supporting junior engineers where required
• Responding to technical queries during project and construction stages
