About the Role

We are currently seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join an established and respected Building Services Consultancy based in Oxford. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a collaborative and forward-thinking team, delivering high-quality engineering solutions across a range of commercial, residential, education, and healthcare projects.

The successful candidate will play a key role in leading electrical design work, managing projects, and mentoring junior engineers — with the support of a strong multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver electrical engineering design across multiple projects from concept to completion.
  • Produce and review detailed designs, drawings, and technical specifications for power, lighting, fire alarm, and communications systems.
  • Manage client relationships and attend design and coordination meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with mechanical, sustainability, and architectural teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant codes, standards, and health & safety requirements.
  • Support project bids and proposals where required.
About You
  • Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Chartered or working towards CEng status (IET or equivalent).
  • Proven experience delivering electrical building services designs within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong understanding of UK building regulations and design standards.
  • Proficient in relevant design software (e.g. Amtech, Revit, AutoCAD, Dialux/Relux).
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and organisational skills.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
