Job summary

Jacobs in the United Kingdom is recruiting senior and principal electrical engineers to lead the full lifecycle of complex electrical process design for large CAPEX programmes across pumping stations, treatment plants, and distribution networks.

You will develop concept, outline and detailed designs, ensure constructability and compliance with BS 7671, IEC, and DNO requirements, and collaborate with process, mechanical and civil teams through reviews, construction, and handover.

Qualifications

• Delivery of complex electrical process engineering projects.
• LV and MV electrical distribution systems.
• Motor control centres and power distribution specification and design.
• Control System Network Architecture Layouts.
• Cable sizing, protection coordination, and discrimination studies.
• Harmonic assessments and mitigation strategies.
• Earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Telemetry and control system interfaces.
• A sound knowledge of Electrical design software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full lifecycle of complex electrical design solutions.
• Deliver safe and cost-effective electrical designs meeting client requirements and standards.
• Prepare and validate technical reports, specifications, and procurement documents.
• Coordinate with process, mechanical, C&I and civil engineering teams.
• Participate in design reviews, HAZOPs and technical assurance processes.
• Support during construction, commissioning, and handover.
