Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience delivering electrical design within a consultancy environment.
• Strong knowledge of LV distribution, lighting, fire alarm and data systems.
• Proficiency with electrical design software tools (ideally including Revit MEP).
• Working towards or already achieved Chartered Engineer status.

The Opportunity

I am working with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy, well known for delivering landmark UK infrastructure and building projects. They are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to join their Building Services team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys technical design, project leadership and mentoring others, within an organisation that values flexibility and professional development.

The Role

You will play a key part in delivering electrical design across a variety of complex projects, including aviation, healthcare and large-scale public and private sector developments.

Responsibilities

• Leading and coordinating electrical design packages from concept to completion
• Supervising and supporting junior engineers and graduates
• Preparing and reviewing design documentation, specifications and calculations
• Providing input during feasibility studies and technical reviews
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, contractors and design partners
• Ensuring compliance with relevant standards and best practice

You will join a well-established MEP team that works collaboratively across several offices in the Southeast, with the flexibility to work remotely for part of the week.

About You

• Degree in Building Services or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience delivering electrical design within a consultancy environment
• Strong knowledge of LV distribution, lighting, fire alarm and data systems
• Proficiency with electrical design software tools (ideally including Revit MEP)
• Working towards, or already achieved, Chartered Engineer status (IET or CIBSE)
