Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer focused on Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) to lead HV design and grid connections for energy storage projects in the UK, with some global exposure. The role emphasizes renewables, energy storage, and private networks from 11kV to 400kV.

Qualifications

• FEED design experience for energy storage or renewables
• Experience with HV grid connections for storage projects
• Knowledge of G59, G99 grid connection standards
• Understanding of battery storage technologies and chemistries
• Strong client-facing and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables

Responsibilities

• Lead FEED and detailed design for energy storage systems and grid connections
• Design for planning, feasibility studies, and FEED for BESS projects
• Collaborate with internal and external clients on large renewable/ storage projects
• Support bidding, project and quality management activities
