Qualifications

  • Chartered or working towards (CIBSE/IET preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification design experience in building services.

Our Manchester office is growing rapidly, offering an excellent opportunity for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our expanding team and play a key role in delivering innovative, high-quality projects across a range of sectors.

The Role

You’ll take a lead role in the design and delivery of electrical systems for diverse and technically challenging projects. Working closely with clients, colleagues and partners, you’ll help shape sustainable solutions while supporting and mentoring junior engineers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage electrical design on a range of building services projects
  • Attend client and design meetings, presenting technical information clearly
  • Produce and review drawings, calculations and specifications
  • Support and guide junior engineers and apprentices
  • Ensure project delivery meets quality, technical and programme requirements
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business
  • Contribute to sustainable and net-zero carbon design strategies

About You

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Electrical or Building Services Engineering
  • Chartered or working towards (CIBSE/IET preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years’ post-qualification design experience in building services
  • Skilled in Amtech, Revit, Relux/Dialux and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of British Standards, Building Regulations and BREEAM
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Team-focused, proactive and committed to quality design
