Job description

Our client is looking for an experienced Electrical Compliance Engineer to lead statutory inspections, manage M&E contractors, and provide technical assurance across their social housing stock. This is a temporary role, ideal for an engineer ready to make an immediate impact.

What you’ll do:
  • Lead electrical inspections, testing, and remedial works
  • Review and approve designs, specifications, and contractor proposals
  • Oversee contractors to ensure compliance, safety, and value for money
  • Support capital projects and planned works from an electrical perspective
  • Identify and manage risks, producing clear reports for senior officers
What we’re looking for:
  • Degree or equivalent in Electrical/Building Services Engineering
  • Chartered Engineer (CEng) or working towards
  • Strong knowledge of BS 7671, Electricity at Work Regulations, HTMs, and British Standards
  • Proven experience in local authority, public sector, or multi-asset estates
  • Ability to hit the ground running in an interim capacity
