Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join its multidisciplinary engineering team in Bristol.

The role involves leading electrical design and delivery across infrastructure, energy, and building services projects, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and innovative solutions throughout the project lifecycle. We work across various sectors, including defence, education, and commercial projects in Bristol.

Due to an increase in defence work across the region, the ability to obtain Security Clearance (SC) is essential.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability
• Project management and leadership skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
• Ability to work independently and within teams
• Commercial awareness and attention to detail

Minimum Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in electrical design (MV/LV or building services)
• Knowledge of UK standards (BS, JSP, CDM regulations)
• Strong understanding of power systems and electrical principles
• Experience producing technical documentation and calculations

Successful applicants will need to have active UK SC Clearance or the ability to gain UK SC clearance.
