Job summary

A leading automotive consultancy is seeking a Senior Design Consultant to lead the electrical aspects of a vehicle program in Warwick. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in electrical system design, particularly in the automotive sector. Responsibilities include overseeing parts release, managing team members, and reporting production readiness to senior management. Qualifications

  • Extensive experience in electrical system design, preferably within the automotive industry or in low-volume manufacturing.
  • Deep understanding of vehicle electrical systems, including wiring harnesses, ECUs, sensors, power distribution, and battery management systems.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.
  • Ability to guide and mentor a team of engineers and technicians.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the electrical aspects of the T.50s vehicle programme in the run-up to production release.
  • Focus on parts release and DV activities for the electrical system.
  • Review electrical harness CAD and ensure correct harness routing.
  • Chair required meetings and minute actions with RAG status.
  • Report readiness for Production Release to Senior management and identify risks.
