Job summary

SAVA is seeking an exceptional Electrical Design Engineer to join our Automation & Equipment team. You’ll own the full electrical design lifecycle for our bespoke automation systems, from schematics to build, commissioning and optimisation.

The ideal candidate has 6–10 years in electrical design in automation, SolidWorks Electrical experience, knowledge of relay and PLC logic, and hands-on panel building. You'll work on safety circuits and integrate Modbus/Ethernet/IP/Profibus.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
6–10 years of electrical design experience in automation.
Experience with SolidWorks Electrical for schematic design.
Ability to design pneumatic systems.
Strong relay and PLC logic knowledge.
Hands-on panel building and field wiring.
Familiarity with Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and Profibus.
Knowledge of electrical standards and safety practices.

Responsibilities

Design electrical systems from mains to low voltage and I/O, with detailed schematics.
Create electrical and pneumatic schematics for bespoke machines using SolidWorks Electrical.
Design safety circuits and ensure safety levels meet requirements.
Capture electrical requirements and select appropriate hardware.
Understand relay and PLC logic for automated machines.
Review designs and perform validation checks.
Integrate Modbus, Ethernet/IP, and Profibus.
Ensure compliance with electrical standards and safety practices.
Design efficient panel layouts.
Debug electrical issues and perform hands-on panel builds and field wiring.
Communicate complex technical information across teams.
