Job summary

Quartzelec is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join our Hamilton or Manchester Business Unit. You will design and specify LV to 33kV installations and model systems including load calculations, fault level assessments and protection coordination.

You will ensure designs comply with standards, develop technical specifications, and support project management, procurement and commissioning. A minimum of five years in electrical design and an HND/HNC is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum HND/HNC or equivalent
• Minimum five years of experience in electrical design
• Proficient in Amtech, ETAP, Power Factory, etc
• Familiarity with relevant technical standards
• Strong skills in professional report writing

Responsibilities

• Design and specification of electrical installations from LV to 33kV
• Modelling of electrical systems including load calculations, fault level assessments, and protection coordination
• Ensuring designs and on-site work comply with standards and regulations
• Developing technical specifications for electrical equipment
