My client, a market leading Building Services Design Consultancy based in Oxford, is searching for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team.

Responsibilities

• Join a bespoke team based in Oxford and contribute to major residential, conservation, heritage, commercial, transport and infrastructure projects.
• Complete detailed electrical designs for mixed-use development projects using AutoCAD, Dialux and Amtech.
• Perform design calculations for residential, commercial and mixed-use development projects.
• Develop detailed designs of electrical systems and cabling for buildings (commercial, retail, healthcare and transportation).
• Conduct surveys, tests and prepare reports on existing installations.
• Attend technical meetings with professionals and contractors.
• Carry out engineering calculations using Amtech, Dialux, Pro-Design or equivalent software.
• Prepare tender specifications and drawings for projects.
• Train and support others when needed.
• Manage electrical installation activities.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND/BSc or MSc in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Experience working for UK-based consultancy completing detailed electrical designs for buildings and commercial developments using AutoCAD or equivalent software.
• Detailed knowledge of BS7671 (wiring regulations) and other relevant codes.
