Electrical Design Engineer – Defence Projects | SC Clearance Required

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Analysing and validating electrical design solutions against technical and legislative requirements.
• Producing detailed design documentation including calculations, test plans, material selection justifications, and compliance reports.
• Working hand‑in‑hand with mechanical design engineers to deliver fully integrated solutions.
• Ensuring technical compliance with safety and legislative standards at every stage of the design process.
• Contributing to design reviews and approvals to keep projects moving seamlessly.

We’re Looking For:

• Degree qualified (or equivalent experience) with at least 3 years’ experience in Control Panel or Low Voltage Power Distribution.
• Strong Power & Electrical Design capability – from system design to component selection.
• Ideally experienced in Variable Speed Drives, Motor Starter Panels, Distribution Systems, and PLC Systems.
• Hands‑on engineering skills with knowledge of Control & Instrumentation.
• Familiarity with E‑Plan (SolidWorks Electrical or other CAD systems advantageous – training can be provided).
• Able to create and follow test plans with an understanding of automation and testing.
• A true team player who can also take initiative and drive tasks independently.

Essentials:

• Must be eligible to gain SC Clearance (no dual).
• Primarily onsite, 5 days per week, with occasional flexibility for remote working.
