Job summary

Tyréns Hilson Moran in London is looking for an experienced Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join on a 12‑month contract, delivering high‑quality electrical design across a range of projects. You'll work within multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical excellence, regulatory compliance and client satisfaction, with a hybrid London working arrangement and a day rate of £45-£55 per hour outside IR35.

Experience in commercial, residential and mixed‑use developments, and knowledge of ISO 14001

Qualifications

• Experience on commercial, residential and mixed-use developments.
• Strong understanding of Building Services Engineering systems.
• Proficient in sustainable design, renewable energy and low-carbon technologies.
• Able to assess project budgets and resources.
• Excellent communication and time-management skills.
• Degree in engineering or environmental discipline; memberships beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Produce and review design documents, drawings and specifications.
• Support delivery of complex and specialist projects.
• Maintain quality control and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with project teams and clients on technical issues.
• Identify scope changes and assist with fee recovery.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members.
