Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services

Location: Croydon

Salary: 45,000 – 55,000 plus DOE

A leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy, delivering innovative and sustainable building services solutions, is looking to hire an experienced and dedicated Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join their team in London.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical design on a range of building services projects
• Produce detailed electrical designs including calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Undertake site surveys and attend client meetings and design workshops
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, building regulations, and sustainability goals
• Coordinate with other disciplines (mechanical, structural, etc.) for integrated designs
• Support project delivery to agreed timelines and budgets
• Contribute to the development of internal design standards and best practices

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services (or equivalent)
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards (e.g. CEng, MIET, MCIBSE)
• Minimum 5 years' experience in electrical building services design
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations, IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671), and relevant standards
• Proficiency in software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit, Dialux/Relux, and Amtech
• Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership skills
