Automation Experts is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer in Derbyshire to lead complex LV electrical design projects across critical infrastructure sectors. The role offers hybrid working, a competitive £50-60k salary, and a 5% employer pension.

You will mentor engineers, review designs, and collaborate with project managers to deliver compliant, reliable LV solutions on high-profile sites. This is a senior appointment focused on technical leadership and long-term career development

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience as an LV Design Engineer.
• In-depth technical knowledge of LV Assemblies and electrical systems.
• Experience delivering safe, reliable and compliant LV design solutions.
• Solid communication and leadership skills.
• Collaborative and supportive approach to team and project delivery.
• Passion for mentoring and developing junior engineers.
• Ability to provide practical and customer-focused engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead LV design activities across multiple engineering projects
• Support and mentor LV Design Engineers, providing technical guidance and development
• Review electrical schematics, calculations and technical documentation
• Work closely with Project Managers and Project Leads to ensure successful project delivery
• Attend client sites to carry out compliance reporting on existing LV Assemblies
• Lead complex site migration projects, supporting LV Engineers and site teams
• Deliver practical, compliant and client-focused LV engineering solutions
• Support risk mitigation and minimise operational downtime during project execution
