• Proven background as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer or in a similar leadership capacity.
• Strong knowledge of electrical control systems engineering and applicable standards.
• Experience in commissioning or fault finding is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Job Description: As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you will take the lead on designing and developing control solutions for complex gas, hydraulic, and process systems. This position offers a blend of technical and leadership responsibilities, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

You will work closely with mechanical engineers, technicians, and project stakeholders to create robust, compliant designs. The Senior Electrical Design Engineer will prepare detailed technical documents, including schematics, calculations, and functional design specifications, while maintaining alignment with customer requirements and regulatory standards.

You will also provide technical leadership to less experienced engineers, contribute to design reviews, and support projects through testing phases such as FAT and SAT. A proactive approach to problem–solving and continuous improvement will be key to your success.

Qualifications

• Degree (BEng or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Proven background as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer or in a similar leadership capacity
• Strong knowledge of electrical control systems engineering and applicable standards
• Experience producing schematics, drawings, and flow diagrams (e.g. Visio)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, working across multi–disciplinary teams
• Logical and analytical approach with strong problem–solving abilities
• Experience in commissioning or fault finding is beneficial
• Proficient in a range of engineering software packages
