A leading building services consultancy in Manchester is looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. In this role, you'll lead electrical design projects, produce high-quality deliverables, and ensure compliance with regulations. Qualifications

  • Experience with renewable energy systems and Modern Methods of Construction.
  • Strong understanding of British Standards and Building Regulations.
  • Knowledge of CDM and H&S in design.

Overview

Snowdon Recruitment are partnered with a leading building services design consultancy to recruit a Senior Electrical Design Engineer for their Manchester team. This is a company who aims to give their Engineers a life long career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand client requirements and define project scope.
  • Lead electrical design elements on projects coordinated from the Manchester office.
  • Produce high-quality drawings, specifications, reports and calculations.
  • Carry out surveys and investigations to support design decisions.
  • Ensure designs meet regulations, standards, H&S and internal QA.
  • Promote sustainable design approaches.
  • Monitor project progress and manage design changes.
  • Present work for internal review and support junior engineers.
  • Stay updated with industry developments and identify opportunities to improve processes.
  • Support client engagement and business development when required.
Experience & Technical Knowledge Required
  • Experience with renewable energy systems and Modern Methods of Construction.
  • Strong understanding of British Standards, Building Regulations and industry guidance.
  • Knowledge of CDM and H&S in design.
  • Skilled with Revit, AutoCAD, Dialux / Relux and Amtech.
  • Knowledge of LV / HV systems, generators, UPS and lighting controls.
  • Good understanding of multidisciplinary design processes.
