A leading construction company is seeking an Electrical Authorising Engineer to oversee electrical safety within the Environment Division. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with relevant legislation, support project teams, and mentor Electrical Authorised Persons. Responsibilities include providing guidance on electrical safety, managing engineering safety risks, and approving live work. Candidates must hold a degree in Engineering with relevant experience, particularly in Municipal Water and Wastewater industries and should have strong problem-solving skills and leadership capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrable high level of knowledge of maintaining LV and HV Electrical, Control & Instrumentation equipment.
  • Competent in a contracting/consulting environment.
  • Experience delivering electrical engineering works within the Municipal Water and Wastewater industries.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for Electrical Safety.
  • Ensure compliance with Electrical Safety Standards and procedures.
  • Provide advice and support relating to electrical safety.
