Job summary

Matchtech is seeking an EHV Technical Lead for a permanent role in the UK power utilities sector. You will provide senior technical authority across the EHV portfolio, overseeing design, tendering, project delivery and technical assurance with DNOs and IDNOs. The role also focuses on technical leadership, client engagement, governance and mentoring engineers to grow the EHV revenue pipeline and ensure high-quality bids.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in EHV engineering.
• Experience delivering or designing EHV projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical plant, primary systems, protection systems, earthing systems, and power system studies.
• Experience working directly with DNOs and IDNOs.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership as the EHV technical authority for projects up to 132kV.
• Review and approve technical solutions and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Support governance, risk management and technical assurance.
• Lead engagement with prospective customers and support bids.
• Mentor engineers and develop technical standards.
